Media Arts film and video courses engage students in preproduction, production and post production of unique media projects. Students utilize 16mm sync sound film cameras or digital video cameras during the production process; all post production takes place on digital, nonlinear editing systems. Introductory production courses cover technical and theoretical concepts important to the study of both film and video, while |
advanced courses expand upon basic knowledge offering further study of narrative, documentary and commercial production modes, as well as further practice with 16mm film production technology. Students in the Media Arts program are encouraged to work on projects outside of class, as showcased in the work sample above. |
